This 1964 album (same as
I Cried for You)
displays an entirely different facet of the multitalented R&B
star's musical personality. Here he's an accomplished jazz pianist in a
trio setting, giving old standards like "Witchcraft" and "Misty" his own
vocal twist.
Lowell Fulson's "Reconsider Baby" is the only blues number on the LP.
