Freddie Jackson - My First Love 2023

My First Love is the final studio album by the legendary American R&B and soul singer Freddie Jackson, released on May 12, 2023, under the label Climax Entertainment. This soulful, 9-track project was entirely dedicated to his mother, whom he fondly cherished as his very first love.

This album stands as the poignant conclusion to his extensive discography. The iconic voice behind hits like "Rock Me Tonight (For Old Times Sake)" and "You Are My Lady" passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 70, just three days after his birthday.

R&B singer Freddie Jackson became a stalwart of the genre in the late ’80s and early ’90s. From 1985 to 1992, he scored 19 Top 10 singles—including 10 No. 1 hits—on the R&B charts. His latest album release, My First Love, is a collection of songs continuing the tradition of classic soul sounds Freddie Jackson is known for.
