This was one that sounded good on paper, but didn't work out as anticipated. Al Hudson & the Soul Partners, along with George Clinton, tried to update The Dells' classic style, but instead wound up force-feeding them material that wasn't designed for their strength. They made one other album for the label, but the group's stay on ABC wasn't the most profitable.
