I Love You Like You Are is an album by the American musician Ray Parker Jr., released in 1991.[2][3] It includes the single "She Needs to Get Some".
The album was produced by Parker Jr.[4] It was recorded at Ameraycan Studios, in Los Angeles.
Ray Parker, Jr.'s big hit days had faded by the time he switched labels to MCA in the early '90s. He made a comeback bid with this album, which had a heavy pop flavor. It did yield him a mild hit with "She Needs To Get Some," although it also generated a little controversy regarding the song's sexual/sexist direction. Parker's vocals were never great, but they seemed more weary than anything else. His past hits had succeeded with him striking either a bemused or a comical/teasing stance; now he sounded tired, detached, and even a little angry.
