Bootsy Collins Studio Albums

Ultra Wave is the fifth album released by funk musician Bootsy Collins. It was released on November 12, 1980, by Warner Bros. Records. It is the first album credited solely to Bootsy Collins, as opposed to his previous releases, which were credited to Bootsy's Rubber Band. In 2007, "Ultra Wave" was licensed through Rhino Records and reissued through the Collectors Choice music service.

The One Giveth, the Count Taketh Away is an album by William Bootsy Collins, released by Warner Bros. Records. It would be the last album that Bootsy Collins would record for the label. It would also be the first album produced solely by Bootsy Collins, with the exception of the track "Shine-O-Myte (Rag Popping)" which was produced (as well as written) by Bootsy Collins and George Clinton. The album was released on April 28, 1982.

The album features performances from numerous individuals in the P-Funk/Rubber Band collective including Fred Wesley, Maceo Parker, Phelps Collins, and Godmoma. The album was reissued first in 1990 by the Warner/Pioneer company in Japan and then by Warner Music-Europe. In 2007, the album was licensed through Rhino Records and reissued through the Collectors Choice music service.


What's Bootsy Doin'? is a 1988 album by Parliament-Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins. The album was released by Columbia Records and was his first album after a six-year hiatus from the music scene. The album reunites Collins with former P-Funk players Bernie Worrell, Fred Wesley and Gary "Mudd Bone" Cooper, and also features newcomers including Mico Wave and Godmoma.

What's Bootsy Doin'? was also released in Japan in the form of a limited edition metal box, dubbed "Syber-Funk Model"(CBS/Sony 34DP 5535~7). Also included was a booklet entitled "Cult Beat Shock" which gives an overview of other dance-oriented performers on the Columbia record label.

Fresh Outta 'P' University is a 1997 studio album by former P-Funk bassist Bootsy Collins. The album was originally released by the WEA/Black Culture label in Europe and Japan and then by Private I records (distributed by Mercury Records) in the U.S.. The album features a number of guest musicians and performers, including MC Lyte, Rodney O, D Meka, Thomas D and Smudo and Fatboy Slim.
Play with Bootsy is an album by Parliament-Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins. The album was originally released in 2002 by East-West Records, which is distributed by the Warner Music Group in Germany and by Warner Music-Japan. It was later released in the U.S. by Thump Records. The album represents Bootsy's 12th studio album. The album features a number of prominent rappers/musicians including Snoop Dogg, Fat Joe, Daz, Bobby Womack, Chuck D, Kelli Ali and Lady Miss Kier from Deee Lite.

Christmas Is 4 Ever is a 2006 Christmas-themed album by Parliament-Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins. The album was released in the United States by the Shout Factory label and by P-Vine Records in Japan. The album represents the first Christmas album made by any member of the P-Funk musical collective. The album features re-workings of Christmas standards such as "Silent Night", "Merry Christmas Baby", and "Sleigh Ride", as well as original compositions such as "Happy Holidaze".

Collins stated: "I’ve wanted to do a Christmas album forever, but I never really got the chance or the time to really think about doing it and putting the effort in it.


Tha Funk Capital of the World is the thirteenth studio album by American funk musician Bootsy Collins,[1] released on April 26, 2011, by Mascot Records.[2][3] It features an array of Bootsy's friends and colleagues including Chuck D, Snoop Dogg and Bootsy's one time Parliament and P-Funk bandmates, George Clinton and Bernie Worrell. The album has one single: "Don't Take My Funk", featuring Catfish Collins and Bobby Womack.
World Wide Funk is the 15th studio album by former Parliament-Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins. The album was released on October 26, 2017—Collins' 66th birthday—by Mascot Records and was made available on CD, 180G "Splatter" vinyl, and digital download. The album features diverse musical collaborations with artists such as Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Chuck D, Big Daddy Kane, Doug E. Fresh, Eric Gales, Musiq Soulchild, Buckethead, Dennis Chambers, Kali Uchis, and the late P-Funk keyboardist, Bernie Worrell.
