While known for his pioneering work as a bassist (which brought him international fame as the leader of Graham Central Station), Larry’s baritone vocal style propelled his solo success with “One In A Million You” and “Just Be My Lady” in the early ’80s: CHILLIN’ picks up where his ’80s albums left off, showcasing Larry’s elegant and laidback vocals on a set of melodic, Philly soul-styled tracks, crafted at a time when music didn’t have to apologize for being romantic.
