Make It Last Forever is the debut album of American R&B recording artist Keith Sweat. It was recorded at INS Recording and Power Play Studios in New York City.[2] Released on November 24, 1987, the album went to number one on the Top R&B Albums chart for three weeks (and topped the Billboard Year-End R&B chart for 1988), and number 15 on the Billboard 200. Make It Last Forever was one of the earliest R&B albums to showcase the up-and-coming new jack swing sound, as it was mostly produced by Sweat himself and music producer Teddy Riley.
The album's biggest hit was "I Want Her", a number-five hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and the first number-one R&B hit for Sweat. The title track (a duet with Jacci McGhee) followed "I Want Her", making the number two R&B spot, while "Don't Stop Your Love" and "Something Just Ain't Right" were also major top ten hits on the Billboard R&B charts. In addition, album tracks such as "Right and a Wrong Way" and "How Deep Is Your Love" received substantial radio airplay and can still be heard on quiet storm format stations. On April 6, 1994, Make It Last Forever was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, for shipments of three million copies in the United States.[3] The single "I Want Her" was certified gold by the RIAA on June 13, 1989, for shipments of 500,000 copies in the US.
I'll Give All My Love to You is the second studio album by the American R&B recording artist Keith Sweat. It was released on June 12, 1990, and went to number one on the Top R&B albums chart and number 6 on the Billboard 200. It spawned Sweat's second and third number 1 R&B hits: "Make You Sweat" and the title track (both Top 20 pop hits), while "Merry Go Round" and "Your Love Part 2" were Top 5 R&B hits.
This was the last Keith Sweat album under Vincent Davis' Vintertainment label, which severed ties with Elektra soon after the release of this album. On March 7, 1991, I'll Give All My Love to You was certified double platinum by the RIAA, for shipments of two million copies in the United States.[3] The single "Make You Sweat" was certified gold by the RIAA on October 4, 1990, for shipments of 500,000 copies in the United States.
Keep It Comin' is the third studio album by the American R&B recording artist Keith Sweat. It was released on November 26, 1991, and topped the R&B Albums chart upon its debut, while entering the top 20 of the Billboard 200. It spent three weeks on the former, temporarily knocking Michael Jackson's Dangerous from the top position.
The album's title track, "Keep It Comin'", was Sweat's fourth single to top the R&B chart. Two more singles "I Want To Love You Down" and "Why Me Baby" were Top 20 R&B hits. It features the album cut "There You Go (Tellin' Me No Again)", originally on the New Jack City soundtrack months earlier. On February 21, 1992, Keep It Comin' was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, for shipments of one million copies in the United States.[4] This was the last album where Sweat collaborated with the longtime new jack swing producer Teddy Riley until Just Me was released 16 years later.
Get Up On It is the fourth studio album by the American R&B recording artist Keith Sweat. It was released by Elektra Records on June 28, 1994, in the United States and went to number one on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart for two weeks, while also reaching number eight on the Billboard 200 chart.
Singles from the album include "How Do You Like It?", "When I Give My Love" and the title track. The album features collaborations from the late Left Eye of TLC, Roger Troutman of Zapp and up and coming group Kut Klose, which features Athena Cage. On December 6, 1994, Get Up on It was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, for shipments of one million copies in the United States.
