 I Fooled You This Time is the Third album by singer Alicia Myers released on the MCA label

 eaturing the behind-the-scenes input of One Way, Alicia Myers' Fooled You This Time included the singer's most enduring hit, "I Want to Thank You" (even though her "You Get the Best From Me (Say, Say, Say)" went into the R&B Top Five). The gospel-ish dance track went to number 37 R&B in fall 1982. The sparse, string-laced ballad "Better Woman or Bigger Fool" echoes Aretha Franklin circa Sparkle.
