Jean Carne - Collaborations (2002)

 Expansion presents the very first collection of Jean Carne s collaborations with classic artists in the world of soul and jazz. Focusing primarily on her work outside of her own solo albums, collaborations here are with artists including Roy Ayers, Lonnie Liston Smith, Dexter Wansel, Grover Washington Jr, Norman Connors, Michael Henderson, The Temptations, Billy Paul, Bobby M and Al Johnson to name a few. Many never before on CD, ore reissued on vinyl, Jean will be supporting this album with shows in the UK, Europe and USA both on her own tours and as featured guest artist with The Jazz Crusaders and others.

 The rhythm section doesn't bring out the full sound of her potential. I was disappointed. Grover Washington does her justice as he gives her space to sing.
