Lullabies to Dreamland 1991
Deniece Williams seemed out of answers as she moved into the 1990s. Her light, airy voice had once seemed charming and enticing, but was now older and less wide-ranging and alluring. There was also a shortage of quality material, and a split focus between gospel and pop. The result was this rather dismal early-'90s outing, with no hits and not even a memorable single. The vocals and production were barely passable; Williams was now floundering in search of a concept.
